01 / Anatomy

Everything on a
frontage, from one team.

Most frontages are four or five separate signs pretending to be one. We survey, make and fit every element below, so the alignment, colour and finish match across all of them rather than arriving from three different suppliers.

02 / Build

Three ways to
build a fascia.

The right construction depends on the building, the budget and how long it has to last. We quote the option that suits the site — and tell you plainly when the cheaper one is the correct one.

Flat panel fascia

Flat panel fascia

A single aluminium composite panel, printed or with cut vinyl applied. The quickest and most economical frontage — right for units with a recessed fascia box.

Folded aluminium tray

Folded aluminium tray

A welded, powder-coated tray with returns on all four sides. It sits proud of the brickwork, hides the fixings and gives letters something solid to mount to.

Built-up letters

Built-up letters

Individually fabricated letters fixed off the fascia on locators. The most premium frontage, and the only one that still reads as a shape after dark.

03 / After dark

Half your trading
hours are dark.

A frontage that disappears at four in the afternoon is doing half a job. Every illuminated sign we make uses IP65 LED modules on remote drivers, wired back to a fused spur with a photocell or timer so it runs itself.

Face lit

Face lit

Light through an acrylic face. The brightest option and the clearest at distance.

Halo lit

Halo lit

Light thrown back onto the fascia. Quiet, expensive-looking, good on heritage sites.

Trough lighting

Trough lighting

External LED troughs washing the panel. The usual answer where consent limits internal lighting.

Non-illuminated

Non-illuminated

Solid letters and painted trays. Nothing to fail, and often what a conservation officer will accept.

05 / Sequence

From first photograph to final fixing, in six moves.

01

Site survey

We measure the frontage, photograph the fixings, check the power and note what the access will need. Free, and usually within three working days.

02

Design & visuals

Scaled elevations plus a photo-realistic visual of your actual building — day and night — so you approve what you will genuinely see.

03

Consents

Advertisement consent, landlord approval or centre sign-off, prepared and submitted by us while the job is scheduled.

04

Manufacture

Routed, folded, welded, sprayed and wired on our own floor in Wellingborough. Nothing is subcontracted out of sight.

05

Installation

Our own IPAF-trained fitters, our own access equipment, RAMS issued in advance and the frontage left clean.

06

Handover & aftercare

Photographs, electrical certificate and a five-year guarantee. We hold your artwork on file for the next site.

06 / Recent frontages

Made and fitted by us.

07 / Budget

Priced from the building,
not from a price list.

Two units on the same street rarely cost the same. Fascia depth, access, existing wiring and whether consent is needed all move the figure — so we survey first and issue one fixed price, with nothing added afterwards. Tell us what the frontage has to do and we will tell you plainly what it takes to do it properly.

Step 01

A ten minute call

Tell us the address, the trade and roughly when you need to be open. We will say straight away whether the idea is realistic and what it hinges on.

Step 02

A survey at our cost

We measure the frontage, check the fixings and the supply, and photograph the elevation. No charge, and no obligation to proceed.

Step 03

One fixed price

A scaled drawing, a night visual and a single figure — itemised, so you can see exactly what each part of the frontage costs.

Talk to the person who will
actually specify the sign.

Not a call centre and not a form that lands in a queue. You get the surveyor who will draw it, quote it and be on site the day it goes up.

08 / Questions

The ones we
get asked most.

Do I need permission for a new shop sign?

Usually, yes — most illuminated signage and anything projecting over a footway needs advertisement consent from the local authority. Some non-illuminated fascia signs fall under deemed consent. We check the position for your address before quoting and handle the application if one is needed.

How long will my frontage be out of action?

A standard fascia change is a single day, and high street work is normally scheduled from 6am so you open on time. Larger schemes with built-up letters and new power take two days, split so the shop trades between visits.

Can you match my existing branding exactly?

Yes. We work from your artwork and match to RAL, BS 4800 or Pantone references, spraying in house so the tray, letters and projecting sign all come off the same batch. If you only have a logo as a low-resolution file, we will redraw it as vector at no charge.

What happens if a light fails later?

Everything we install carries a five-year guarantee covering the sign, the LEDs and the workmanship. Drivers are mounted remotely so a fault can be swapped from ground level in most cases, without dismantling the fascia.

Do you cover more than one site?

We roll out multi-site programmes across the Midlands and nationally, working to a single specification with per-site surveys, a shared schedule and one point of contact. Artwork and drawings are held on file so later sites match the first exactly.
