Lighting is where
specification matters.
Letter height, return depth, module type, driver location and access all move the figure — and a cheap module now is a hoist hire in two winters. We survey first, then issue one fixed price with the specification written down beside it.
Talk to the person who will

Do illuminated signs need planning permission?
Almost always advertisement consent, yes — illumination is what usually triggers it. We check the position for your address before quoting and prepare and submit the application when one is needed.
What does one cost to run?
Very little. A typical shopfront's worth of LED letters draws less than a kettle, and with a photocell it only runs when it is dark. We put the load on the drawing so your electrician knows what to expect.
Can you light a sign that is already there?
Often. Trough lighting can be added to a sound panel, and existing trays can be re-lamped to LED with a new face. We survey it and tell you honestly whether it is worth doing or whether a new tray costs less in the end.
What happens if a module fails?
It is covered for five years. Because the drivers sit inside the building and every letter is individually glanded, most faults are fixed from a ladder rather than from a hoist.
